Sucramask™ is a product that was 15 years in the making. In 1990 the early prototypes were designed to work with Aspartame. The goal was to make aspartame more heat stable and increase the shelf life. Dr. Morris Mann helped with the early versions and while we did have some success, the costing was prohibitive and the project was abandoned.


Many years later, while working on prototypes of sucralose based beverages, we noticed that there were some taste problems when we added citric acid to bring the beverage pH down. We tried our aspartame mask and noticed that we were getting some positive results. While this version was the prototype, much work was needed to get to where we are today. To make a long story short… our work is based on the chemical structure of sucralose and how it behaves in different solutions. Once we understood what was happening on a chemical level, we were able to put the final pieces together and develop Sucramask™.
